A Pimp Named Slickback is a fictional animated character created by Aaron McGruder and voiced by Katt Williams, introduced in the third episode of The Boondocks in November 2005. His name is the joke and the thesis at once: he demands the full phrase every time, treating his occupational title as inseparable from his identity, and much of his comic function derives from the pedantic seriousness with which he defends a self-description no one else takes as a credential.

The character is the series' instrument for satirizing not the pimp as such but the reverence the surrounding culture had developed for him. Slickback speaks in the register of a consultant and a philosopher, offering unsolicited instruction on discipline and hierarchy to characters who did not ask, and the show consistently frames that authority as both absurd and genuinely corrosive.

For researchers he marks a specific historical moment: the mid-2000s, when the iconography descending from 1973 had been so thoroughly absorbed into mainstream entertainment that a Black-authored series could treat it as received material to be dismantled.
