The Road to Paradise is a memoir by André Taylor, known from the Hughes brothers' American Pimp as Gorgeous Dre. The publisher's page, at the self-publishing company AuthorHouse, dates it to July 20, 2005, lists it at 108 pages and files it as inspirational writing. It makes the connection itself, saying the streets knew him as Gorgeous Dre in American Pimp.

The book's description presents it as a spiritual journey: questions about God's existence and involvement in human life, told through his path from the street, through incarceration, to redemption. The author biography on the same page says he lived independently from age 16, became a minister at 18, turned to crime at 23 and was in federal prison by 30. After his release, it says, he lectured at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and other universities, and he now runs Streetsweeper Ministries in Los Angeles.
