Cross Country Pimping 4: Big Business

The fourth Cross Country Pimping film (2010), with Kenny Red, Don Magic Juan, Pimpin' Ken, Too $hort and Truth & Power.

Cross Country Pimping 4: Big Business is the fourth film in Michael Maroy's Too Real for TV documentary series that began with Cross Country Pimping. Hood Box Office, which now carries it, summarises it as "The game goes corporate." Too Real For TV's official preview, posted on its YouTube channel on 13 August 2010, gives the cast: Kenny Red, Don Magic Juan, Pimpin Ken, Pimp Snooky, Too $hort, Pinky, Mitchy Slick, Truth & Power, Pimp Good Game, Waka Flocka Flame, Pimp Charlie Brown, Roxy Reynolds and Charlie Boy.

It is interview footage in the series' usual form, a single camera and long answers with little narration. The subtitle suggests a focus on money and business, but this archive has not viewed the film, so no scene or statement is described here. Appearing in the film is not in itself evidence of anything beyond appearing in it: Too $hort, for one, is a rapper whose pimp persona belongs to his music, which this archive treats separately from biography.

The preview's upload date and Hood Box Office's listing both put the release in 2010; Hood Box Office gives the running time as 1 hour 48 minutes. Truth & Power, who appears in it, is today a business partner of Hood Box Office and, by Hood Box Office's account, a co-owner of Too Real For TV. Disclosure: this archive is maintained by Hood Box Office, which hosts and sells the film; descriptions quoted from its pages are the seller's own copy.
