Good Game

A Players Ball regular quoted by Salon in 2000 and credited in Maroy's 2002 film; nothing beyond those appearances is documented.

Edited still: converted to black and white. Source: Too Real for TV.

"Good Game" is the street name of a Players Ball figure who appears in the public record only in the company of Bishop Don "Magic" Juan and the Players Ball circuit. No legal name, birthplace, date of birth or home city has been published in any source consulted for this record, and none is inferred here.

The earliest mention found is Denise Dowling's report on the Chicago Players Ball for Salon, published 29 January 2000, which describes attendees including "a shark like Good Game, who looks like he was conceived in a Caddie and teethed with gold-capped incisors." The same event circuit is the subject of Michael Maroy's 2002 Too Real For TV documentary World Famous Players Ball, whose credits list Good Game alongside Archbishop Don "Magic" Juan, Snoop Dogg, Ice-T, Bad Azz, King Jo Jo, Kenny Red, Pimpin' Ken and Lee Mack. A July 2005 briefing document on the Players Ball, hosted by the Washington, D.C. blog PoPville and unattributed as to author, quotes him at the 8 February 2003 ball at Club Mirage in Decatur, Georgia, "draped in what he terms 'butterscotch mink,'" saying that "eight years ago, the Bishop saved my life." The same briefing records the protest outside that event and the later federal prosecution United States v. Pipkins, in which Charles Pipkins and Andrew Moore were convicted under RICO for the prostitution of children in Atlanta and sentenced to between thirty and forty years; that case is cited here as the documented context of the Atlanta balls, not as a matter involving Good Game, who is not named in it.

Wikipedia's Players Ball article lists Good Game among attendees of a 2011 Memphis Players Ball with Bishop Don Magic Juan, MattShizzle, Candyman and The Black Heff, but gives no citation, so that appearance is noted rather than relied on. A 2025 Instagram reel titled "Pimpin Ken: Good Game meet up" suggests the name is still active in Pimpin' Ken's circle; it could not be opened and is not cited.

That is the whole of the reliable record: a working pimp on the Players Ball circuit from at least 2000 to 2003, filmed by Maroy and quoted by two reporters, who credited Don Juan with saving his life. Nothing about the women he worked with, his earnings, arrests or later life is documented. Readers should treat any fuller biography that circulates as unverified.
