Sinful The P

A self-described former pimp whose YouTube monologues and reviews made him the game's most-quoted commentator before his death in 2022.

Sinful The P was a YouTube commentator who presented himself as a pimp turned teacher of "game": long, direct-to-camera monologues on how pimps recruit, manage and lose women, reviews of pimp documentaries, and interviews with older figures from the subculture. His own channel, now labelled an archive "managed by Freeze Iz It," identifies him as Phillip Brandon Gilmore and carries his motto, "I hope you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live." A second channel, Remembering Sinful The P, states that he was born in April 1984 and died on 26 December 2022 and re-posts his full videos. No newspaper, court record or industry outlet was found that documents his life independently of these channels, so everything below is his own account or that of the people who kept his archive.

The catalogue is large and repetitive by design. Representative titles include "What Pimps Don't Do," "Stay Available!" and "Pimp Gives Advice To Men Who Are Afraid To Approach Women." His four-part review of the Hughes brothers' American Pimp (1999) walks through that film scene by scene, and he sat down with Hollywood Schauntte Parker, one of that film's subjects, for a long interview. He also reviewed newer material, including the Soft White Underbelly interview with the Orange County pimp Kelpy and the two women filmed with him, a video that survives on his archive channel as "Review From The P." Hood Box Office, which hosts a Sinful The P page, markets him as "a true West Coast legend" delivering "unfiltered street intelligence" and lists episodes such as "Here's Why OnlyFans Will Never Replace The Pimp" and "She Snitched On His Pimp Friend, Then He Let Her Choose." Disclosure: this archive is maintained by Hood Box Office.

On the women, his register is instructional rather than confessional: he speaks about "the first one," about a woman who "wants to choose up" after "complaining about her pimp," and about what a pimp should and should not do, always from the manager's side of the arrangement. He does not, in the videos reviewed here, name the women he says he worked with or describe their circumstances after they left. That silence is itself part of the record.

His death was reported in late December 2022 by forums and by dozens of tribute videos, one of which is an upload of the funeral service; the memorial channel's description acknowledges "controversies in his past" while framing the channel as a tribute. Other YouTube commentators have posted videos alleging a criminal case involving a minor and, separately, a cause of death; neither claim could be traced to a court record, coroner or news report, and both are set out under what is not established.
