Pastor Troy (Soft White Underbelly)

An Oakland ex-pimp who told Soft White Underbelly he kept everything, "put hands on" women, served sixteen months and quit.

This Pastor Troy is the subject of "Pimp interview-Pastor Troy," a ten-minute Soft White Underbelly video released to streaming platforms on September 8, 2021. He is not the Atlanta rapper of that name; nothing religious is discussed. He also gives the name "T Leader Great."

He says he grew up in Oakland with a mother he calls "a great parent" and a father who came back from Vietnam "messed up" with a heroin habit. He names Kenny Red and a San Francisco pimp he calls Hamp Banks as his models. He says he started at nineteen with a neighbourhood girl who "wasn't doing nothing with her life" and "was always willing to have sex with multiple people."

On the women he is blunt. The most he had was four, two Black and one Mexican among them, "all one stable, one house." "I keep everything. I don't go half with no bitch." He describes breaking a woman down psychologically until she felt "so small," says "I ain't gonna say I've never put my hands on a bitch," and calls a woman stealing a client's Rolex or ATM card "always a good thing." He recounts, as something he witnessed on Figueroa, a woman kidnapped and gang-raped by five gang members. He says he was charged with pimping and pandering, living off the earnings and persuading a witness, served sixteen months, and stopped when trafficking laws meant "you looking to have a life" in prison. He says he laundered his money into legitimate business and co-parents two children.
