Kelpy

A young Orange County pimp filmed by Soft White Underbelly with two women, then argued over by the older pimps on YouTube.

Kelpy is the subject of "Pimp and Prostitutes interview-Kelpy, Ashley and Crystal," a 22-minute Soft White Underbelly video which the channel's catalogue describes as an "interview and portrait of Kelpy, a pimp and his prostitutes, Ashley and Crystal of Orange County, California." The channel's social posts for the episode call him a teenage pimp. The three are interviewed together, so the women's account is given in his presence, which is a limit of the source; Ashley and Crystal are identified by first name only, and this archive records nothing further about them.

The interview travelled. Sinful The P reviewed it at length in a video that survives on his archive channel, and after Kelpy appeared on Sharp's "Sharp Tank" stream and was, by the participants' own titles, "kicked off" and called a "wanna-be pimp," the older commentators treated him as a test of whether the persona could be inherited from YouTube. In November 2022 he was a guest on the No Jumper podcast, where, as Rolling Stone reported in its 2023 feature on the show, co-host Almighty Suspect "got into an on-air fight with Lil Kelpy." Clips of that fight are the reason most people have heard his name.

No legal name, age, arrest or conviction has been published by a reputable source. Everything about his history is his own account, and everything about the women is theirs as given beside him.
