Johnny Cash (pimp)

A Las Vegas pimp, no relation to the singer, whose 44-minute Soft White Underbelly portrait followed a 2022 pimp-podcast appearance.

Johnny Cash is the street name of a self-described pimp based in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has no connection to the country singer whose name he uses; the borrowing is the persona. His public record consists of two interviews. The first is "(Audio Pimp) Johnny Cash | Let's Talk Izm," episode 17 of the Audio Pimp podcast, released December 21, 2022, a 44-minute conversation the podcast files under "Morning Motivation" and labels "for entertainment & motivational purposes only." The second, and the reason the name is known at all, is Mark Laita's Soft White Underbelly, whose catalogue lists "Pimp interview-Johnny Cash" as a 44-minute, 4K "interview and portrait of Johnny Cash, a pimp in Las Vegas, Nevada," promoted by the channel in August 2025.

In both he speaks in the trade's own register, treating pimping as a discipline with rules to be taught, and describes the women he says work for him as participants he manages rather than people he exploits. That is his framing and the archive records it as such. No court record, newspaper report or other independent document naming him was found, no legal name has been published by a reputable source, and nothing he says about his earnings, his history or the women can be checked. The Audio Pimp episode's promotional clips call him an ex-pimp; the Soft White Underbelly description calls him a pimp in the present tense. The interviews are testimony about how the Las Vegas trade presents itself, in a city with its own long record of trafficking prosecutions.
